about sahara.
Throughout her career, Sahara has used her innate creativity and keen editorial eye to bring myriad stories to life. As a book editor, she worked closely with authors to transform their ideas into beautiful, impactful narratives. Her decade-long journey in publishing started at Chronicle Books, where she developed titles for the Entertainment list. After three years, her passion for amplifying diverse and underrepresented voices led her to Penguin Random House, where she established and built Clarkson Potter’s Culture list from the ground up. From NAACP Award–winning culture books and immersive illustrated guides on race, gender, and sexuality to bestselling essay collections and vibrant travel photography books, Sahara’s editorial portfolio is as vast and multifaceted as the world around us.
Now, she’s transitioned to digital media, where she edits and optimizes digital and social content for top fashion, beauty, and lifestyle publications, including Who What Wear, Marie Claire, Homes & Gardens, and many more.
Sahara also explores storytelling through content design. Certified in UX writing and experienced in web design, her work focuses on enhancing the way users navigate digital spaces. Whether it's copy that guides users through a product or design elements that breathe life into a client’s online presence, Sahara leverages visual storytelling to craft fun, engaging, and accessible digital experiences.
Beyond her work, she’s a cat mom, matcha lover, avid reader, sunset enthusiast, aspiring photographer, and explorer of great places and even greater foods.
